Dark colors, from differing shades of grays and blacks, are common sights during Fall/Winter fashion weeks. As such, they were present in various F/W 2012 menswear shows, from Burberry Prorsum’s double-breasted coats to Jil Sander’s array of black leather items.
However, with the influx of dark tones that remind us of cloudy days, one can only hope for some spark of color to bring contrast to the potentially repetitive look. With Pantone choosing “Tangerine Tango” as its color of the year for 2012, however, the men and women searhing for a little burst of sunshine next fall/winter may gain hope.

Various designers incorporated the exciting tone into their collections during men’s 2012 F/W fashion week. Take a look at a few that stood out from the crowd, especially in Milan this past week.

A somewhat risky color, the orangey-red hue can definitely take the sun’s place when it’s hiding behind rain clouds and snow storms – so, go invest in a few tangerine tango pieces. A simple scarf can transform a dark ensemble into one with a sliver of light.
