A Bold Body of Stripes

Work, school, work and school reign as my priorities. As such, painting the town red, dancing and writing blog posts now reside on the back burner. No need to worry, though – back burners can turn just as hot as those in the front!

And with that, I turn up the heat on today’s post. What’s the topic? Looking hot throughout the day, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., while the hot sun above burns the sweat collecting at your temples. Just look how oily my face looks in this photo…

Me wearing an H&M top, Zara shorts and shoes you've seen plenty times before. Oh, and a very worn out bag from Zara as well.

Today, I wore an H&M crew neck T-shirt featuring stripes upon stripes. A variety of colors provide a welcomed pop, while stripes of various thicknesses draw in the eye. To capitalize on an eye-catching look, I slipped on some thigh-length shorts. Jersey shorts, to be exact. Do you spot a trend? Yes, but alas, the key to looking stylish does not rest in being trendy – it rests in wearing what works for you. And thankfully, in my case, these lil’ shorts seem to work well with my legs.

My arms and neck were bare, since I woke up late and time ran short while getting ready this morning. I don’t mind, though, because today I let my body and prints do the talking. Remember, a timeless, effortless looks means wearing what works best with you and your day’s duties. Running around campus throughout the day called for a comfortable approach.

‘Til next time, my friends!
